This A4 piece features a monarch butterfly and some ants. It explores themes of life, death, beauty and ownership. While it started as a commentary on pursuit of things that are not yours to pursue, throughout the creation process it took on a more hopeful meaning of transformation, sharing and contributing to the lives of others. The original is presented in an upcycled timber frame, refinished in a dark walnut stain and high gloss topcoat. Prints are archival quality giclée printing on cotton rag paper, and are strictly limited to ten signed copies.
